Ok, so this is not exclusively a bar, but they do serve drinks. Human-only visitors over the age of 21 are welcome to enjoy the bar & park without purchasing a day pass. All visitors must sign a waiver, and provide a valid ID for entry. If you have a dog, there is HUGE space for your dog to run with other dogs, while enjoying a cocktail and watching a local sporting event on a large screen tv. Along with having an off-leash dog park, there are pet care services such as grooming, daycare, boarding and training. You just need to sign your dog up for membership. A day pass, for your dog, as of this writing is $15.

five points Neighborhood

There is no actual name listed, but if you travel to the corner of Court Place and Washington Street, you will find a triangular dog park. From reviews, it is nothing elaborate. You need to bring your own water. Some reviewers complained about having to pick goat heads and burrs out of their dog’s paws. The dog park is fenced. There is some places to sit on the retaining wall. I have been here several times, but there was not anyone there. Hence, no photos. Similar to Sonny Lawson Dog Park, you may have it all to yourself.

Dog Park

Court Place and Washington Street(Near Safeway)

Off leash run dog park, in the heart of Five Points. Lots of space for the pups to run around and there is shade provided by nearby trees. Surrounding park amenities also include newly constructed play ground, basketball court, baseball diamond, and picnic tables. Described as clean and usually not busy. Not an impressive dog park. I visited here several times and no one was ever there. On the positive side, you may have the whole dog park to yourself!

west city park neighborhood

This Dog Park was named after the local Denver councilwoman, who passed away too early.  Technically Carla Madison Dog Park is not located in West City Park, but across the street from it. However, it is a useful, centrally located off-leash dog area — especially handy for nearby residents who want a quick, fenced space for play and socialization. Its smaller size and urban setting are part of its charm, so it’s perfect for regular short visits rather than all-day excursions. Also there is limited shade other than a pavilion. There are several park benches to sit. In the event you need water or bathroom, Carla Madison Rec Center is adjacent to it. Better yet, bring your own water.
