City Park is a large historic urban park in Denver, often compared to New York’s Central Park due to its size, layout, and importance to city life. It covers roughly 330 acres of landscaped green space right near the heart of Denver’s residential and cultural districts. The park is known for its wide lawns, mature tree groves, winding paths, and classic park design that blends open areas for recreation with quiet, shaded places for relaxing or picnicking. It is not just a green space, but home to two of Denver’s biggest attractions: Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Nature and Science. You also have Jazz in the Park during the summer months. One of my favorite things to do during the summer is to walk around Ferril Lake with the multicolored fountain in the middle of the lake. You also have 14 tennis courts.
